A WORD FROM PASTOR

From the beginning of human existence, mankind has been intrigued and
fascinated by the stars. We have looked upward, pondering their origin and
their purpose—seeking meaning, inspiration, and direction beyond ourselves.

The stars appear in biblical covenants and prophetic language. They have
been worshiped by the misguided, studied by the curious, admired by
poets, and sung about to children at bedtime. Generation after generation
has lifted their eyes to the night sky and felt both wonder and smallness at
the same time.

Scripture reminds us that this reaction is intentional. “The heavens
proclaim the glory of God. The skies display his craftsmanship” (Psalm 19:1
NLT). The stars are not random ornaments in the universe; they are a silent
testimony. Night after night, without words or sound, they declare that there
is order, beauty, and purpose woven into creation.

The stars humble us. The more we study them, the more mysterious they
become. The more we understand, the more awe they produce. They
remind us that creation is vast, ancient, and far bigger than our daily
concerns—and yet somehow, we are still seen.

Ladies Connect Night

Join us in the youth chapel on Monday, February 2, at 6:30 PM for our monthly Ladies Connect Night. Our theme is “So Beary Loved” and will have special Galentine’s Day elements. We can’t wait to enjoy an evening of encouragement and fun with you!

OH Mid-Winter Youth Retreat

Friday, February 6 and Saturday, February 7 will be OH Mid-Winter Youth Retreat. It will be held at The Naz in Grove City. Vans will be leaving the church Friday at 5:30 PM with an estimated return of 2:00 AM. Saturday, vans will be departing at 8:45 AM also with an estimated return of 3:00 PM. Discover

Now that you’ve been here, are you wondering what the next step is? Discover is the answer! This is a three-week course in which you will learn more about our church, New Testament salvation, and the many ways you can be involved here at CLC. The class takes place on Sunday’s at 10:30 AM in the Youth Chapel (lower level). We look forward to meeting you and helping you discover all that God has for your life!

Tax Credit Opportunity

Ohio allows a dollar-for-dollar tax credit (up to $750 per individual and $1,500 per couple) for gifts made to certified Scholarship Granting Organizations like OCEN SGO. Your gift is essentially redirecting your state taxes to directly fund a scholarship for a student at The Christian Academy.
